Gave myself a challenge today that I would not get on social media and obsess over the state of the world. Instead, I decided to roll up my sleeves and make a small painting from start to finish. I have been collecting Mexican dichos as a way of focusing on the beauty, wisdom and humor of my culture as a starting point for some new work. This is the first, with a slight tweak to the adage.
